04/07/08 - 2.2: Repackaged 2.2 to include an updated xmlajax.js. The change allows for Firefox 3 beta to parse the XML correctly. It seems I had made the changes locally but never included it in the package. The package is also now a .tar instead of a .rar (makes it easier for all you *nix admins).
03/28/08 - 2.2: Repackaged 2.1 into 2.2. 2.2 uses a few new methods to restrict the amount of people that simultaneously refresh the cache. So far It was tested during the woot!-off on March 27, 2008 and shows no signs of the Dear Jerkface error.
12/11/07 - 2.1: Repackaged 2.0 into 2.1 due to some fixes in xmlparse.php. Fixes include improved image fetch and 2 conditions that caused the cache to either not update or update too often.
04/29/07 - Lynx versions: I have come to the conclusion that it's far too confusing to keep track of two versions as well as having to remove any custom code I run on my site when I have to pack up the versions. Because of this I will be removing the lynx version from the site and only the curl version will remain. If you don't have php compiled with curl then I suggest you do it since it makes for a more stable tracker. Curl allows the script to time out if a request isn't processed within x seconds instead of hanging. I will pack up an up-to-date lynx version for anyone that needs it but only upon request.
03/31/07 - 2.0, 1.0, 1.1: Repackaged 2.0 (lynx version) and removed 1.0 and 1.1 from the site in order to comply with woot.com's wishes to use the RSS feed (download 2.0 or 2.0curl)
03/23/07 - 2.0: Changed XML format to match woot and fixed a few miscelaneous bugs.
02/12/07 - 2.0: versions 2.0 and 2.0curl released. Version 2.0 fetches XML data from http://www.woot.com/salerss.aspx. Added features: fallback, if salerss.aspx is unreachable it fetches from the index instead. If the script is accessed directly it outputs the XML cache.
01/29/07 - 1.1: versions 1.1 and 1.1curl released. Version 1.1 is an AJAX refresh version of the original script. It should stop dying when wootcache.php can't fetch from woot.com. Instead, it will attempt to refresh after 5 seconds.
01/11/07 - 1.0curl: 1.0curl released. Not an update or an upgrade really unless you have and prefer to use curl. This is a more efficient version that includes timeouts in the fetches from woot.com, but not all systems have curl compiled in with php.
12/11/06 - 1.0: Latest version of the simple script was released. Stable and should work on most basic systems that run only apache and php. The only other program required is lynx.
