A small window with the option of turning the sound and image on or off
An alert pops up to tell you there's a new item.
During a Woot!-off it will also alert you when the percentage drops below 20%, 10%, 5%, and 1%
| The purpose of the program was to create a mirror image of the web version without having to open up your browser. The program parses the XML cache from the online version of my woot-checker and puts the information in the appropriate place. The built-in timer auto-refreshes the content at the same intervals the website would. To save on time and bandwidth the program only downloads the item image if the item has changed. The program also minimizes to the system tray allowing you to continue what you were doing (not that you'll be very productive during a woot-off). The alerts will let you know of any status change without having to restore the program. If you get curious as to the status of the item and don't want to restore it, simply hover over the tray icon for a description (percentage is shown as well during a woot-off). The program itself consists of two files, the executable and the alert sound. Don't like my alert sound? Substitute your own! All you have to do is copy any .wav you want into the installation directory and name it "newitem.wav"! |
